ATCS (Advanced Train Control System) and Amtrak Carolinian
Below, my new ATCS Monitor, used by railfans to determine the location of trains, is a simplified form of what rail dispatchers use to move rail traffic. Seen here is the Danville to Charlotte Subdivision of Norfolk Southern Railroad, Covering Pomona, Kannapolis, Charlotte, Belmont North Carolina, and a portion of CSX Railroad's Monroe subdivision. Red lines are occupied track, the train, green lines indicate a path that the dispatcher has cleared for a train, gray lines are not yet covered by this server, and white lines are open lines.
Seen here is the Amtrak Carolinian, arriving in Charlotte, North Carolina
